Homespun Yarn Party 2014 = success!

homespun yarn party

If you’ve been following us for a while, you might know that Homespun Yarn Party is our favorite yearly fiber event. It’s a big room, packed with 32 of the best local fiber artists, offering hand dyed, spun, carded, prepped, or made fiber-related items… and ALL the people who want to buy them! Not to mention the amazing volunteers and committee that makes the whole shebang run as smooth as buttah.

It’s an honor to be involved with this show, and it’s a thrill to interact with the supportive and fun crowd. It was especially nice to be told repeatedly that we were on the shortlist of “must-see” vendors – THANK YOU. You made us feel like rockstars.

The GIANT knitting needle display was again very popular, and so were the brand new double pointed needle sets that Rob has been working so hard on, as well as our new “Mr. Pokey” needle felting tools. Yarn and fiber in rainbow hues flew out the door, and overall we found ourselves sold out of some of our standard items by the end of the day. Not too shabby!

It was SO busy that I didn’t have a chance to get pics of anyone else’s booths, which is a shame. I recommend checking into the Facebook group for HYP to see all the lovely setups and things offered. All the vendors there have online shops, and I highly suggest stopping by each one if you haven’t already.

Here’s what our booth looked like! It was pretty wacky!

Nah, you’ll keep tweaking it cause you’ll always figure out better ways to set it up, depending on the space.}:P
