People often ask me about the spindles I use when I teach Beginning Spinning, so I decided to start offering them in my shop! These are some of the best spindles out there for any level of spinner who is looking for something inexpensive, yet well-made and durable.
These Maple and Beech wood spindles feature a top whorl with a rim that allows a longer spin, plus a notch on one side for easier yarn management. The cup hook is attached firmly and doesn’t snag. The weight of this spindle is 1.8 ounces/51 grams, which is perfect for a variety of yarn weights.
I use these exclusively in my classes with great success and I also spin on them myself regularly. I can’t recommend them enough!
