HardCore Handspun: The Jewel
24 yards of Super Bulky Strikingly Beautiful Yarn
This one is a textural and colorful stunner!
Built around a photo of a piece of fine art, you can trace the creation of this yarn here: https://www.threeravens.net/2020/07/18/photo-to-project/
I carded and spun it with an eye for color and texture. I highlight some of the best parts in photos for you. Perfect for adventurous fiber artists to use, or just to wear!
There’s approximately 24 yards.
This yarn is a two ply, weight is 3.8z / 108 gr.
Made with: Merino & Falklands & US wools, Bombyx silk, sari silk scrap. wool locks, sparkle, commercial sparkly yarn.
I have this yarn currently in a skein – if you would like it wound into a ball, I would be happy to do so at no charge. Just let me know!
All yarns are made from fine fibers that have been hand-dyed by myself at Three Ravens Studio in Baltimore, or other independent fiber artists, with high quality dyes. Although I guarantee colorfastness of all my fibers, please test for dye runoff if mixing bright or highly saturated colors with light ones. [it’s just good practice!]
Washing instructions: cool water, no agitation, dry flat.
Colors will vary from monitor to monitor – I took several photos to show some variance in color and lighting.
